Mark Cappelli tunes and maintains pianos for concert venues, institutions, and private residences in the Chicago area. Mark has 25 years experience as a concert pianist, professional piano tuner, technician and church organist. Mark is an associate member of the Chicago chapter of the Piano Technicians Guild.


About Mark Cappelli: Mark Cappelli began studying the piano at the age of four with his parents, Amo and Nancy Cappelli. He received additional instruction from Alex Joseffer of Chicago and the late Donald Isaak of Northwestern University. He was a concerto soloist for four consecutive years with the Oak Park High School Symphony Orchestra. He also performed with the University of Iowa Chamber Orchestra, and was selected to play as a Youth Soloist with the Oak Park-River Forest Civic Symphony. Mark won scholarships from Indiana University, where he received both his Bachelor and Master degrees. He studied with Menahem Pressler. Mark has given recitals locally at Faith Methodist Church, Dominican University, Cherry Valley, and Cantigny. Mark was organist and choir director of the River Forest united Methodist Church for twelve years. He is currently the organist at Bethany Union Church in Beverly. Mark is the founder of the Just Friends Jazz Trio, and is a respected piano tuner and technician whose clients have included Grant Park, Ravinia, and Symphony Center.
